HNK Rotterdam Alexander becomes the newest Paris-Proof flagship location
HNK Rotterdam Alexander is located just a stone’s throw from Rotterdam Alexander intercity train station and directly adjacent to the A20 motorway. Once opened, the building will fully align with HNK’s vision, which revolves around hospitality, sustainability, well-being, and convenience.
A sustainable result: Paris-Proof
To achieve Paris-Proof status, an extensive package of sustainability measures will be applied. The façade will be partially replaced and upgraded according to a design by OOK Architecten, the climate control system will be renovated, solar panels will be added, and the outdoor areas will be greened. Additionally, the energy label will be improved to A+++. This forward-thinking approach will not only earn the building a BREEAM-NL In-Use Excellent certification but will also significantly reduce energy consumption from 125 kWh/m² to 65 kWh/m², putting the building well below the Paris-Proof standard.
Biophilic, surprising, and iconic design
The office’s interior design, developed by hospitality design studio HD+VK, is based on biophilic principles and incorporates surprising and iconic elements. Facilities will be added to support various types of work, such as a library, a recording studio with high-quality equipment, a calming wellness studio, an expansive co-working area, and 14 unique meeting rooms, each designed for a specific type of meeting. The top floor will feature two complete event spaces and a rooftop terrace with a bar, available for exclusive hire for large events.

Construction will begin in November, with HNK Rotterdam Alexander expected to open its doors in the third quarter of 2025. A total of 4,500 m² of office space will be available.
